Sewing Room Upate

I thought I would let you know
that my room is finished.
But I'm thinking the fixing up part
is a whole lot easier
than the moving in part.
So these are the final photo's
I'll show until I'm all
moved in and decorated.
And just to show what I've moved in....
It's always fun to redo something
in this house.
Our home was built in the 1870's,
so we keep hoping that someday
we'll find some awesome treasure.
You never know!

I also wanted to share this amazing
pancake recipe with you.
Since my family has been good
about helping me with my room,
I thought I would make them a
hearty Sunday morning breakfast
.(Yes...I did skip church, but I did
say my prayers!)

I found this in a magazine, however,
I don't remember which one!
It's Naomi Judd's blueberry pancakes.

2 eggs, separated
1-1/2 c sifted flour
2-1/4 baking powder
3 T sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 c buttermilk
3 T butter, melted
1 cup fresh, or frozen thawed blueberries

In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder,
sugar and salt.
Beat egg yolks in a medium bowl;
add buttermilk and melted butter.
Stir egg mixture into dry ingredients; mix until batter is smooth,
and stir in blueberries.  Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake on a hot greased griddle.
Makes 12 pancakes

And of course, even though I'm trying hard
not to make a lot of processed foods,
you can have pancakes without:
Little Smokies are just a given.

Just so you know, the pancakes
are a bit time consuming,
however, they are very much worth the effort.
My husband normally eats
two pancakes at the most.
Today...he ate four!

Can't wait to see it all done, when you have everything tucked away in its new space.

That breakfast is making me hungry, and it is actually bedtime here.

The room is going to be such a happy place. The walls are beautiful. And if you keep cooking for your "help", you may get it all put together in no time.

I'm so excited about this space and what is going to come out of it. :)
