A Lovely Year of Finishes

I joined a Flickr group titled

I thought this would be a good kick in the behind
to keep me focused on what I need to
accomplish this year.

Well, as luck would have it,
I missed signing up for January,
so I am making sure I don't miss February!

My goal for this month is to get the quilt top
done for one of my very dear friends who had a
baby a few months ago.

I'll be using the fat quarter bundle I won
from Laurie Wisbrun
called, "Don't Be Crabby".
This line is perfect for a little boy!

I will be using the pattern Smitten by Rachel Griffith.
I think it's going to be pretty darn cute!

One of my goals for the year
was to downsize on things in my life.
I've been paying attention
to things that are taking me away from
truly enjoying life....
you know....
keeping me from spending time in my sewing room.
:)

So here's to A Lovely Year of Finishes
and the freedom to get them done!

Also, don't forget to check out this month's project for the
over at Amy's blog.
She's the hostess with the mostess this month!

We'll be chatting soon!
xoxo

Love the fabric you've chosen for that pattern, it's going to look wonderful.
I know the feeling about trying to downsize life. Since I've been trying to do that, it seems I've been busier than ever.

I love your goal for this year . I think we should all try to do that more because we invite joy into our lives when we focus on the things that make us happy.

It's going to be a well loved quilt. Great fabrics for a baby quilt.

More time in the sewing room is always a good thing!
