Since I've Been Away...
I hope you will forgive my absence.
It's been with good reason.
Our firstborn grandchild arrived.
I would like to introduce you to our sweet boy,Walker Wyatt.
He was born September 6th weighing in at 7 lbs 2 oz.
This is my son and soon to be daughter-in-law.
They make such a beautiful family.
Now that Walker is 4 months old, he's really starting to develop his personality.
He is incredibly sweet and when he smiles, his whole soul shines through his face.
Nothing prepared me for the love that flooded my heart when I saw this little man.
Truth be told, I still can't talk about him without getting tears in my eyes.
But mostly, nothing could prepare me for this...
...watching my baby tenderly care for his baby.
He is such a good daddy.
To say I'm proud is an understatement.
Walker is growing so fast and he will let you know that he is
the 'coolest. dude. ever'.
His smile is contagious.
We're also ready for baseball season.
(although I was THRILLED the Cubs won the World Series last year!)
I also received the most touching gift from my sewing sisters across the US.
They coordinated making this beautiful quilt to keep here with me
for Walker to use when he comes to visit.
If you would like to see all the wonderful and talented makers of this quilt,
just check my IG link
. Click on the photo and you'll see all the names.
I have a pretty sweet tribe!
2016 was truly a year of blessings, none of which I will take for granted.
I love being a mom, but being a grandma is an honor I don't quite feel I deserve,
I promise to not take one bit of it lightly and wear the name badge proudly.
Believe it or not, I do have some fun crafting and sewing projects in the works
and cannot wait to share them with you!
May 2017 be your year for dreams to come true!
