Hello world!
Here in my part of the good 'ol USA
it's freezing.
Seriously.
6 degrees this morning while I'm out taking all these pictures.
Our project for the Across the Pond sew along this month was anything apple.
So, I made an apple.
:)
I just pulled scraps from my bucket, got a twig from the yard and
there you have it!
I also saw this adorable BLOCK TUTORIAL on Facebook the other day.
I chose to make it into a pillow.
I couldn't be more happy with how it came out!
I did some free motion applique around the holly leaves and berries.
And for the back, I used Amy's (from eamylove) covered zipper pillow backing tutorial.
I love this tutorial and use it on all the pillows I make.
What's next on the list?
Well, I'm FINALLY going to make Noodlehead's divided basket
using these gorgeous fabrics from
These home deco fabrics are so luscious.
I can't wait to cut into them!
Be on the lookout!
xoxo
Cindy

Far too cold for me!! I'm glad you have those happy projects to warm things up. Love the free motion stitching!!
No really? 6 degrees ? That's just insane.
I love your little apple. It's darling . And the cushion cover screams Christmas to me in the most beautiful way.
Oh, you have been busy making all kinds of cuteness!!! Thanks for the shoutout on the pillow backing. I printed out that pattern, too, but haven't made one yet. The stitching on the holly leaves, etc. is soooooo cool! Really brings out the lovely design. Love that apple, too! Now I can't wait to see your divided basket. Great fabrics from Terry's!
What beautiful projects! The apple is delicious. And your pillow is really pretty. I do love that extra free motion stitching on the holly leaves! You can use that all winter... to warm your heart when it is so cold outside!

The apple looks so cute, love the text fabric, and I love your pillow with the lovely machine embroidery drawing on the leaves.
